Sweet! Windows Live Writer!

September 24th, 2006

Oh wow! Now that’s something I didn’t expect! I just downloaded Microsoft Windows Live Writer (link) which allows you to create posts to weblogs. I did not expect it to work with WordPress (the engine I use here). Not only did it work as you can see, but it did everything to autodetect the blog settings without me doing anything! Even the editing surface I am using looks just like the theme of my site! It actually pulled all that info from my blog! I just supplied my URL and user/pass and everything else happened automatically. This thing ROCKS!!!

XNA Beta 1 out! Download!

September 1st, 2006

Hey!

We released the beta 1 of the XNA Studio Express which includes our Framework. You can download it from XNA website
All you need is the free Visual C# Express and you’re good to go.

I am not sure what to start with as far as tutorials really. There’s a lot of really good ones already out on the net only 2 days after the release. I think I might start talking a bit about the basics of 3D programming and all that stuff. I am no expert by any means, but I can shed some light on the concepts that I found to be a bit hard to understand at first.

I am working on a game at work now, very simple game, that I probably can share with everyone once it done. I think I’ll write a list of tutorials that talk about how I got the game running and what I had to do. That could be fun too.

In the meantime, go check out this thread for all kinds of tutorials made by the community.
